Welcome to Euro Ceremony15 January 2007 Following the introduction of euro on 1 January 2007, Slovenia will mark this historic event together with the rest of Europe with a special celebration on 15 January. Prime minister of Slovenia Janez Janša has invited prime ministers from all European Union member states and president of European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso to Ljubljana for a ceremony "A Welcome to the Euro". Finance minister Andrej Bajuk has equally invited his colleagues and Commissioner for Economic and Monetary affairs Joaquin Almunia to join the celebration. |
